TEACHING PRACTICE - WEEKLY REFLECTION

The eighth week of my teaching practice started on 22/08/2022, Monday. This was our last  week of teaching practice at Govt. HSS Kulathoor. We completed all the works and activities by this week. On Monday, I completed all the lessons of my second phase of teaching practice and I took remedial teaching. Examinations were started on Wednesday. The first exam was Social Science for the students of 9th grade. So, on Tuesday I was conducted revisions for the students. We were assigned exam duties for the last three days. 






This week was so painful for all of us. All my dear students of 9th grade filled my heart with so much love and support. They gave me sweets and also gifted me some cute little things including their drawings as their token of love. My children also wrote me valuable feedbacks and it was so painful and heart touching. We were filled with so much love and care from each and every student of 8th and 9th grade. At the last class, all of us clicked photos with our dear students. 














    

Like them, the children of 5th, 6th and 7th classes were also my favorite. Their innocent love filled my eyes. Many times they told us not to go. I felt a lot of pain during that time.


On Thursday, we gave sweets to all the students and teachers of Kulathoor school. All the little ones were so happy when we distributed the sweets. We spend a lot of time in 5th standard. Sung a song to the children, heard their stories. We were very happy at that moment. 



  At the end of the day, after the exam, all the students of 9th class came to see us and all of them were so emotional and they badly want us to stay there. We, the trainees were also very emotional and felt the same. When the children said goodbye and walked back, I couldn't bear the sadness. I cried. At that time my children were worried and they came back to calm me down. 

     On Friday, a farewell was organized for all of us by the teachers and non-teaching staffs of Kulathoor school. By 1.00 pm , we all gathered at the office for the ceremony. All the teachers including Headmistress shared their valuable feedback and also gave life advices regarding our future. It was so emotional and touching for all of us. At last as a token of love, they gave us small plants, which was so beautiful inside out. By that, the second phase of my teaching practice officially came to an end. 




It was this school that taught me how to be and what to do in a school as a teacher, and it helped me to become a teacher in every sense. I was living there as a teacher for so long. Now I really miss my school, my teachers and my dearest children a lot.  It breaks my heart to think that these days will never come back. 

Overall, it was very beautiful days of  teaching practice at Govt. Higher Secondary School, Kulathoor, Trivandrum.

      Community Living Camp Report :  KELIKOTTU 2022 The Community Living Camp is a compulsory programme of  BEd. Curriculum. As  part of it, we the teacher trainees of BNV College of Teacher Education, Thiruvallam  have decided to  conduct a five-days Community Living Camp in our college from   21st February 2022 to 25th February 2022.           TEACHING PRACTICE - WEEKLY REFLECTION                DATE: 08/08/2022 to 12/08/2022 The sixth week of my teaching practice started on Monday. This week went by so fast. It was a very special week, because we had a lot of experiences. Sheeja Ma'am came to school for Libi's third observation on Monday. Ma'am made good comments about her class.  On the same day, a special program, named "Satyameva Jayate" was organized in the school for the students of U.P section. The aim of the program was to expose the truth and lies in social media and give awareness to children. We also participated in that event.  Another program was held at the school on Thursday. It was the inauguration ceremony of various clubs in the school. The program was conducted in the auditorium.
